Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia  Marina Perovic Petrovic who has been appointed its first non-resident Ambassador to  Commonwealth Dominica since both countries established diplomatic relations in 2010. presented her credentials to President  Eluid Williams, april 2013.
“It is  a great pleasure  to be here and this is an important  step in marking the beginning of the first stage in our bilateral relations and cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.
The Ambassador highlighted several subjects for discussion which she anticipates will enhance the political and economic relations between Dominica and Serbia.
“There are many things that we have to discuss; cooperation in agriculture, protection against natural disasters, fight against crime, terrorism, how to get our food supplies,  the climate warming and many other subjects that are important and are being discussed at the international level,” she said.
“It is my expectation that during my term we will iniciate dialogue in the areas of energy, capacity building and training, as well as information technology.”
Further, the Republic of Serbia is attaching great importance to the cooperation in education through scholarships for students coming from Commonwealth of Dominica within “ The World in Serbia “ Programme.
“The commitment of Serbia to strengthen the dialogue with Carribian countries and Latin America at the international and regional level is also a contribution to the good relations between our two countries”, stated Her Excellency  Ambassador Marina Perovic Petrovic.
