Ambassador Danilo Pantović met today Fernando Sáez Carvajal, director of the dance company from Cuba "Malpaso", when they exchanged impressions regarding the guest appearance of the ballet group in Serbia, in April 2021.

The group "Malpaso" participated in the 18th International Dance Festival in Belgrade, in Atelje 212, with a spectacle in three parts: "Indomitable Waltz", by Aszura Barton (Canada), "24 Hours and a Dog", choreographed by the artistic director of the group Osnel Delgado and ballerinas, and "Tabula raza", by Israeli choreographer Ohad Naharin. Artists from Cuba were guests at the National Theater in Novi Sad, as well as at the Cultural Center Gornji Milanovac.

Thanking the guest for the visit, Ambassador Danilo Pantović expressed his belief that the visit is only one in a series of planned cultural events, both in Belgrade and in Havana, which confirms and strengthens the bilateral relations between our two countries.

Ms. Aji Jung, the director of the Festival, was especially thanked for the trust and commitment she put into making this year's Festival a reality.
Fernando Saes Carvajal expressed his honor that he had the opportunity to present himself in Serbia in the current complex situation and thanked the organizers of the performance for their trust and courage, during which all medical and health conditions were met, both for the participants and the audience.

The performances of the group "Malpaso" in Serbia were well received by critics and audiences, confirming a certain level and specificity of artistic expression.
